Shopping day

After a long time Dhevi went for shopping alone. Ed was busy with tax works and practice. Anyway during Dhevi's haircut Ed has to kill time in the mall. Dhevi went straight to Motherhood maternity and then for a hair cut, where she was told they may not be able to complete the straightning because of time shortage...Anyway they did a good...She came back home to find Ed with papers all around him and the fire on in living room.

Today Dhevi had to drink lots of water and get ready for the scan. We went in and waited. The lady in MCAI was very good and caring...The way she talks to the baby was as though the baby can hear it (and understand :) We saw the baby move, turn over, yawn, kick, stretch, feel shy (our kid..no way;) --it covered the face with the right hand for a long time...when she tried to get a good picture of the face..she waited patiently for our baby to move. This was a good experience...(also very assuring since Dhevi stopped feeling the flutters few days ago). We got lot of pictures and video clips).

After coming back we planned to do lot of garden work. Ed slept for sometime. Dhevi cleaned the kitchen and the cut sticks in garden. It started getting chilly. That didn't stop Edwin from setting up the water fountain. We need to plant some bulbs..Waiting for good weather (Ahhhhhh...snow shower predicted for next week...)

Bloomington

We invited Suresh-Sridevi for sat dinner..Since they promised to Anand-Geetha first, Geetha suggested a get-together in Bloomington. We went to Bloomington for the saturday's drama rehersal with Durga (he came to Naperville to meet his friends...and stayed over at our place). We dropped him and went to join the JHOTI. Everyone was already there and the guys started their routine and girls were busy with work (except Dhevi...Dhevi gets special treatment because of the baby:). Dinner was long for Dhevi.. She started first and finished only when the guys came in for dinner. She got weird looks from people I guess (well...when food is around she does even see Edwin :) Awesome Puffs by Geetha. We played cards and saw Mozhi again.

Next day after food we started back. Geetha tempted Dhevi with an afternoon shopping program...but we had to rush off because of Drama stage rehersal in Aurora temple...While we were nearing home Raji (the drama coordinator) called to let us know that they didn't get the stage. That's when Dhevi remembered about the temptation :( Well that was good in a way. We slept for sometime and went to home depot and meijer. Dhevi got colorful garden mums (sevvandhi) from meijer (which we planned the next day)... Also got a water fountain from Meijer

Drama practice in our home

Edwin is acting in a drama. Every week-end one of the participants hosts the practice session. This week it was in our home. Only handful of people showed up. And Dhevi's Kollu porriyal snack created more uh's and ah's than a celebrity show. It is surprising to know that how many people don't know what kollu is?

And on Sunday afternoon we invited Siva/Sheeba family and Anand/Geetha family for lunch. Edwin made chicken varuval and pottato. Dhevi made Lamb,Fried Rice. We played snooker for sometime after lunch and the kids played chess.
